Abstract
Rad obuhvaća kratak pregled razvoja obrazovnog procesa za žene kroz povijesno-kulturne odnose od razdoblja antike do prve polovice 20. stoljeća. Rad je koncipiran u četiri glavna razdoblja koja prate položaj žena od antike do kraja staroga vijeka, njihov položaj u društvu i obrazovanje u srednjem vijeku, promjene koje su uslijedile tijekom novoga vijeka te borbu žena za pravo glasa i obrazovanje u prvoj polovici 20. stoljeća. Svako razdoblje podijeljeno je prijelomnim događajima koji su urodili društvenim i političkim promjenama. Rad prati kronološki razvoj obrazovnog procesa na teritoriju Grčke (Sparta i Atena) i Zapadne Europe (Velika Britanija i Francuska) te sadrži imena najistaknutijih žena koje su dale doprinos u borbi za obrazovanje i bolji položaj žena u društvu.
Abstract (english)
The work includes a brief overview of the development of the educational process for women through historical and cultural relations since ancient times to the early 20th century. The work is divided into four main periods following the situation of women from ancient times to the end of the ancient world, their position in society and education in the Middle Ages, the changes that followed during the new century and the struggle for women's suffrage and education in the first half of the 20th century. Each period is divided by crucial events which gave birth to the social and political changes. The work follows the chronological development of the educational process in the territory of Greece (Sparta and Athens) and Western Europe (United Kingdom and France), and contains the names of the most outstanding women who have contributed to the struggle for education and better position of women in society.
