Abstract
Rad sadrži teorijski okvir u kojemu su navedeni svi relevantni pojmovi vezani za slobodno vrijeme i medije. Potrebno je istražiti i poveznicu između medija i slobodnog vremena jer je danas uvriježeno mišljenje da djeca i mladi ne mogu bez tehnologije. Slobodno vrijeme odlikuje težnja slobodnog izbora aktivnosti u odnosu na potrebe sudionika, njihovih interesa i mogućnosti. Potrebe i interesi mladih nekada su potaknuti medijskim sadržajima, a mediji u današnjem odgoju, osim obrazovne i informativne uloge, mogu biti i manipulatori mladih generacija. Rad se temelji na istraživanju koje je provedeno na uzorku od 90 ispitanika, djece i mladih, od 10 do 25 godina. Tema rada je uloga medija u slobodnom vremenu, a analizom anketnih upitnika saznaje se jesu li djeca i mladi zadovoljni količinom slobodnog vremena i kako i na koji način ga provode te pomažu li im mediji u školovanju ili ih koriste isključivo za informiranje i zabavu.
Abstract (english)
The thesis contains a theoretical framework wherein all the relevant terms related to leisure and media are analysed. It is necessary to investigate the link between the media and free time because today it is widely accepted that children and youth can not exist without technology. Leisure is characterized by the tendency of free choice of activities in relation to the needs of the participants, their interests and capabilities. The needs and interests of young people are used to encourage media content and the media in today's education and, in addition to educational and informational role, they may be the manipulators of the young generations. The paper is based on research conducted on a sample of 90 participants, children and young people 10 to 25 years old. From the analysis of questionnaires we have established whether children and young people are satisfied with the amount of free time and how and in what manner it is implemented. In addition, we have tried to determine whether they use the media in education or they use them solely for information and entertainment.
