Abstract
Rad u nekoliko poglavlja predstavlja istraživanja o čitanosti novina, slušanosti radija, gledanosti televizije te posjećivanja internetskih stranica. Radio i televizija fenomen su 20. stoljeća. U periodu između 1900. i 2000. godine u razvoju tehnologije dogodilo se mnogo promjena zahvaljujući elektroničkim medijima. Radio je medij koji dopire do svakoga i svagdje. Zanimljivo je kako su istraživanja o slušanosti radija vrlo zahtjevna i rijetka te ne donose vjerodostojne rezultate. U proteklih nekoliko godina televizija je doživjela veliki rast te dopire i do najsiromašnijih mjesta svijeta. Prije 25 godina objavljena je prva internetska stranica. Četvrt stoljeća kasnije, Internet je postao najkorišteniji medij te igra vrlo važnu ulogu u informiraju. Istraživanja posjećenosti medija alat su pomoću kojeg stručnjaci primaju povratnu vezu (eng. feedback) čitatelja novina, slušatelja radija, gledatelja televizije i posjetitelja internetskih stranica. Povratna veaza pokazuje je li određena poruka primljena od strane publike i je li ju publika shvatila. Također, broj aktivnih čitatelja novina, slušatelja radija, gledatelja televizije i posjetitelja internetskih stranica igra veliku ulogu u oglašavanju jer upravo taj broj oglašivačima govori koji je medij trenutno najprikladniji za oglašavanje. Rad opisuje različite tehnike za istraživanja posjećenosti medija. Svaka od tehnika ovisi o mediju koji se istražuje te o trenutnim tehnološkim mogućnostima. Tehnike istraživanja posjećenosti internetskih stranica vrlo su sofisticirane te su informacije dostupne svima.
Abstract (english)
This paper presents newspaper, radio, television and Internet audience research which is shown through several chapters. Radio and television are 20th century phenomena. In the years between 1900 and 2000 have probably happened more changes in technology than in any previous century. A major part in those changes was played by the electronic media. Radio is the media which reaches everyone and everywhere. It is interesting that the research on radio audiences is very demanding and rare. In the past few years, television has also grown rapidly and is reaching many people even in the poorest parts of the world. 25 years ago the world´s first website went live to the public. A quarter of a century later, Internet is the most widely used medium and plays a major role in world information. Audience research is a tool for receiving a feedback from newspaper readers, radio listeners, television viewers and Internet visitors. It can show if no one is listening to propaganda or that the intended audience is not being reached or that they have misunderstood the message. It also shows advertisers which medium is currently the most appropriate for advertising. This paper presents the different techniques of media audience research. Each technique depends on the medium due to the current technology possibilities. Internet and website research techniques are very sophisticated and the informations are available to everyone.
