Abstract
Završni rad Grad kao utopija – aspekti razvoja bavi se prikazom temeljnih utopijskih vizija i ostvarenja od njihovog idejnog pojavljivanja u antičkoj Grčkoj do današnjeg ostvarenja utopijske zajednice Auroville na jugu Indije. U radu su predstavljene temeljne značajke glavnih predstavnika utopijskog promišljanja grada i zajednica. Od samoga početka utopije su vezane uz prostor grada – od polisa do suvremenog modernističkog velegrada te se njihov razvoj može pratiti usporedno. Kao težnje pojedinaca ka stvaranju idealnijeg okruženja utopije mogu poslužiti kao ogledala vremena i ljudskih napora. U ovome radu će se promatrati kako su društva reagirala na povijesno značajne promjene i kako su iste usmjerili k vizijama boljega društva.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this final thesis, on the subject Utopia of the City- development aspects is to show basic utopistic visions and achievements, since it's first appearance in Antic Greece untill nowadays achievements of utopistic community Auroville, located in South India. Basic characteristics of the main utopian representative, as well as it's way of city deliberation and it's community are showed in this thesis. From the very first appearance, utopia is related to the city areas –from polis to contemporary modern metropolis, and due to that, it's possible to monitor their growth comparatively. The tendency of an individual, to create idealistic, utopian environment can serve as the mirror of time and exert of oneself. Through this thesis is also showed how society reacted on historically important changes and how they turn them to vision of better society.
