Abstract	Društvene su mreže danas dio svakodnevnog života i slobodnog vremena, osobito mladih osoba pa se u skladu s time istraživanjem otkriva razlog njihove popularnosti i velikog prostora koji im se daju u slobodno vremenu. Rad propituje povezanost slobodnog vremena i društvenih mreža. Obrazlaže se fenomen slobodnog vremena, kao i dokolice te njihove međusobne (ne)povezanosti. Slobodno se vrijeme shvaća kao vrijeme u kojem se razvija osobnost, stječu navike, ostvaruje socijalizacija te je značajan dio života svakog pojedinca. Cilj je rada bio, nakon definiranja navedenih pojmova i provedenog istraživanja putem anonimne ankete, doći do podataka o kvaliteti slobodnog vremena mladih, o društvenim mrežama te razlozima njihovog korištenja. Rezultati su istraživanja pokazali kako ispitanici većinu svoga vremena provode na društvenim mrežama, prvenstveno Facebooku. Iako značajno puno vremena provode na društvenim mrežama, većina ispitanika smatra kako provode svoje vrijeme dovoljno kvalitetno, ali da postoje drugi načini na koje bi mogli provoditi svoje vrijeme kvalitetnije. Istraživanje pokazuje koje su to pozitivne, a koje negativne strane društvenih mreža.
Abstract (english)	Social networks are now part of everyday life and leisure time, especially for young people. The thesis aims to reveal the reason for their popularity and the amount of space they are given in the free time. The work examines the connection between leisure and social networking. It explains the phenomenon of free time and leisure, and their mutual (dis) connection. The aim was to obtain data on the quality of free time of young people, on social networks and the reasons for their use. The results of the research showed that respondents spend most of their time on social networks, primarily on the Facebook. The majority of respondents believe that spend their time well enough, but there are other ways in which they could spend their time better. The research shows both the positive and the negative sides of social networks.
