Abstract
Ovaj rad bavi se analizom i proučavanjem mogućih posljedica razvoja sve prisutnije, ponekad i kontroverzne teme - biotehnologije. O biotehnologiji se danas govori u velikom broju sfera i s različitih stajališta – teološkog, kulturološkog, medicinskog, pravnog, sociološkog, pa čak i političkog. Biotehnologija je baš zbog svoje interdisciplinarnosti i sve bržeg razvoja tema brojnih diskusija, analiza, nada i strahova – onih koji smatraju da je prijeko potrebna i korisna, pa sve do onih koji smatraju da prijeti uništenju čovječanstva i da je samo instrument ostvarivanja profita. Najveći je problem u istraživanju tih odnosa velik broj različitih stavova i dokaza, među kojima su pojedini i često osporavani, ponekad prihvaćeni, pa poslije kritizirani i obrnuto. Glavni cilj rada je približiti pojam i osnove značenja biotehnologije, ukazati moguće probleme vezane uz tu znanost, te onda analizirati i prikazati moguće posljedice i neizvjesnosti razvoja biotehnologije.
Abstract (english)
This paper focuses on the analysis and study of the possible consequences of the development of more widespread, sometimes controversial issues of biotechnology. There are numbers of spheres in which biotechnology is talked about and lots of different points of view – theological, cultural, medical, law, sociological and even political. Because of its interdisciplinary nature and fast development, biotechnology is subject of many disscussions, analyzes, hopes and fears – those who believe that it is necessary and ueful, to those who think that it threatens humanity and that it is only the instrument for achieving profits. The biggest problem in the study of these relationships is the big numer of diffenr views and evidences, in which are some of them often disputed, sometimes accepted, but later criticized and vice versa. The main objective of this paper is to approach the concept and importance of biotechnology itself and then analyze and display the possible consequences and the uncertainty of the development of biotechnology.
