Abstract
Cenzura je predugo oblikovala našu kulturu i naše znanje. Od početka pisane riječi pa sve do danas i vjerojatno će ostati s nama i do kraja pisane riječi. Kada pričamo o cenzuri možemo navesti probleme kao što su iskrivljavanje istine, tajenje informacija, spaljivanje knjiga i to većinom radi potpune političke kontrole. Različite organizacije su dugo pokušavali preuzeti vlasništvo nad znanjem, ali srećom to nikada nisu u potpunosti uspjeli, bar ne u razvijenijim zemljama jer se u takvim zemljama štite ljudska prava te se njeguje pravo na čitanje. Uz cenzuru se vežu još i autorska prava te upravljanje digitalnim pravima pošto se bave problemima kao što su ilegalna nabava i prodaja djela i objavljivanje osjetljivih informacija bez dozvole. Prava autora se svakako mora zaštititi bilo njihovo djelo u digitalnom ili tiskanom obliku i okruženju i Država bi trebala ulagati u financiranje organizacija koja za cilj imaju razvoj plana zaštite autora i informacija.
Abstract (english)
Censorship was shaping our culture and knowledge for too long. From the creation of written word until now, and it will probably stay with us until the end of written word. When talking about censorship we can mention problems like distorting the truth, hiding information, burning books which usually occured for the sake of total political control. Different kinds of organizations tried to turn knowledge entirely into their property but luckily they never really succeeded, at least not in the well-built countries where they protect human rights and nurture their rights to read. Regarding censorship we can also mention copyright and digital rights management since they address problems like illegally purchasing and selling different kinds of works, and publishing sensitive information without permit. The rights of authors must be protected no matter if their works are in digital or printed form or environment, and the Country should invest in financing the organizations which have the goal to develop a plan of protection regarding the authors and information.
