Abstract
Stigmatizacija kao pojava zaokuplja um teologije i medicine. Ona kao natprirodni fenomen postavlja pitanja o svom nastanku, ali najviše o autentičnosti. Stigme nisu pojam koji crkva prihvaća vrlo olako, postoje vrlo stroga i detaljna pravila, a samo je Franjo Asiški priznat kao stopostotni stigmatik. Mnogi ostali slučajevi prozvani su prijevarom ili drugim medicinskim fenomenima. Bitno je na vrlo racionalan način bez ikakve pristranosti razjasniti prirodne, medicinske i natprirodne elemente, kao i uočiti okruženje nastanka i pojave stigmi. Bez poznavanja elemenata vjere i svega što je čini: mitovi, simboli, lik Isusa Krista i njegova muka prilikom koje su nastale prve stigme - ne možemo ovladati ovom temom.
Abstract (english)
Stigmatization as an occurrence occupies the minds of theologists and medical experts alike. As a supernatural phenomenon, it yields questions regarding its creation and, arguably most of all, its authenticity. The Catholic Church does not take stigmas likely; there are very strict rules on what qualifies as a potential stigma, and it was only Saint Francis of Assisi that was ever officially verified by the Catholic Church as a genuine stigmatic. Many other cases were either stamped as fraud or simply tied with known medical conditions. It is important to – rationally and without any bias – clarify the medical, natural, and supernatural elements, as well as examine the circumstances surrounding the creation and appearance of stigmas. Without profound knowledge of faith and everything that constitutes it – myths, symbols, the person of Jesus Christ and his suffering that created the first stigmas – we cannot master this subject.
